Environment Variable's Guide
This guide will possibly help you if you're client won't open for some reason.
That reason may have to do with your ENVIRONMENT VARIABLES.
This Guide will explain how to set them. I believe you need JDK also.
Download JDK here: http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/widget/jdk6.jsp
Current Java here: http://java.com/en/download/windows_manual.jsp?locale=en&host=java.com:80
(Click "run" on "online installation")
First click start:
Next click My Computer:
Next click View System Information:
Next click the "Advanced" Tab & click "Environment Variables":
Next click "New". You will be making "2" new paths:
The first path should say this:
Put "PATH" without the quotes in variable name.
In Variable Value put this without the quotes "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_16\bin"
*Note change the _16 to whatever JDK you have. This is just the one I have.
The next path should say this:
Put "CLASSPATH" without the quotes in variable name.
In variable value put this without the quotes "CLASSPATH=C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_16\bin;%CLASSPATH%;"
*Note change the _16 to whatever JDK you have. This is just the one I have.
After that hit "OK".
That concludes this guide. Rate it and post your comments.
Thanks,
Brad
